Susan’s phone buzzed again that afternoon, another message from Richard. It was short, gentle as always.
“Hope you’re doing well today, Susan. Remember, God still loves you, no matter what.”
She sighed, staring at the screen for a long time before dropping the phone on her bed. His words used to make her feel calm, but lately, they made her restless. It was as if he saw through every wall she built.
Richard’s persistence confused her. He didn’t ask for anything, didn’t flirt, didn’t condemn, he just kept showing care that felt too real. And that scared her.
So, she made up her mind.
“If I can’t stop him with words,” she muttered to herself, “then I’ll give him a reason to stop chasing me.”
Her plan was simple, but wicked in intent. She didn’t want to hurt him, not really but she needed to end his concern once and for all. No one had ever tried so hard to ‘save’ her, and she didn’t know how to handle it.
Susan decided she would seduce him. If she could make him fall or even come close to temptation, he would back off for good. That would end this unwanted ‘mission’ of his.
She thought about every detail, the place, the timing, even what she would wear. Her lips curved into a small, determined smile as she imagined his shocked face.
“This will scare him off,” she said under her breath.
She wasn’t ready to be saved. Not yet. And if it meant pretending to be the devil herself to keep him away, she was ready to play that part.
Susan sent a message to Richard one evening, saying she needed to talk about some “personal spiritual struggles.” Richard, full of hope that she was finally opening her heart to God, agreed to meet her in his church office the next day. He had no idea she was setting a trap.
The next afternoon, Susan arrived at the church looking unusually radiant. Her dress clung to her body in all the right places, drawing attention with every step she took. The soft scent of her perfume lingered in the air as she walked into Richard’s office, pretending to look weak and unsteady.
“Are you alright?” Richard asked, quickly moving from behind his desk to steady her as she staggered forward.
Before he could react, Susan leaned closer, her hand resting on his chest. Then suddenly, she kissed him...slowly, deliberately.
Richard froze in shock, unable to process what had just happened. His heart pounded.
When Susan pulled away, a sly smile spread across her face. “Now you’ll stop trying to save me, Pastor,” she said mockingly, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
Without waiting for his response, she walked out, leaving Richard standing still, stunned and speechless, the echo of her laughter lingering in the quiet room.
