The Spider's Lies That Broke the World

The Spider's Lies That Broke the World

A small brown spider named Udo lives in the rafters of the chief's hut, ignored and unseen. Her web is beautiful, catching moonlight like silver thread, but Udo craves more than admiration, she craves power. So she begins to whisper. To the chief, she whispers the healer cursed his son. To the healer, she whispers the chief plans to banish him. To the firstborn son, she whispers his brother has been sent to kill him. To the brother, she whispers his father loves the firstborn more. Each whisper sounds like concern, but each is a lie. Within one moon, the village collapses into suspicion and fear. Families refuse to eat together. Neighbors who shared yams for thirty years stop speaking. The firstborn son flees into the forest. The brother sharpens his knife to hunt him. Udo sits in her web and smiles as the world breaks around her. The spirits of the river, forest, and sky summon her. She admits she wanted to be seen, to be unforgettable. They curse her: she will weave in corners forever, and every web will remind humans of the spider who broke the world with her tongue. Her power to lie is taken. She can only speak truth now, but the truth is too heavy. The world remains cracked. Families still do not speak. Hearts still do not open. The story is a haunting lesson about how one small lie, believed by one small village, can shatter generations. The spider is still watching. Still waiting. Still hoping you will believe just one small whisper.

A Woman, A Mischief

A Woman, A Mischief

A Woman, A Mischief At fifty-six, Eniola is everything her family once prayed for. Respected businesswoman. Church leader. Provider. Survivor. The first person in generations to escape the quiet poverty that swallowed both sides of her family. But inside the silence of her success lives a question she has spent decades avoiding: What did it cost her to become this woman? Born into a crowded polygamous household in southwestern Nigeria, Eniola grows up brilliant, disciplined, and dangerously hopeful. While beauty opens doors around her, poverty keeps shutting them. Denied university despite extraordinary academic promise, she leaves home young and enters Life carrying faith, ambition, and an unspoken terror of becoming trapped like the women before her. As years pass, Eniola builds a life through ruthless discipline and moral restraint, refusing the shortcuts many around her accept for survival. Her rise appears miraculous. Yet beneath her success, strange prophecies, fractured memories, emotional isolation, and buried grief begin gathering like shadows. Then old memories begin returning. A hospital corridor. A missing truth. A decision nobody fully understands. And a sentence she once tried to forget: “You cannot keep both.” Moving across decades, secrets, church culture, family wounds, and the fragile line between spiritual destiny and inherited trauma, A Woman, A Mischief is a nonlinear literary mystery about motherhood, sacrifice, survival, and the silent ways people disappear inside the lives they fought to build.

The Crownless Jewel

The Crownless Jewel

In the ancient Yoruba city of Ile-Ife, a time of spiritual and ecological decline unfolds as sacred traditions are abandoned in favour of foreign trade and modernisation. Adegoke, the gifted but overlooked son of a minor court artisan, feels the weight of this disconnection deeply—especially as the once-vibrant Osun River sickens and the people forget their covenant with the Orisha. After a mysterious voice from the river reveals a shattered beaded crown—a symbol of the sacred pact between the Oba and Oshun, goddess of rivers—Adegoke discovers he is the “unwilling heir” destined to restore balance. Guided by cryptic wisdom from the reclusive Babalawo Baba Ologun and accompanied by his sharp-witted friend Ifeoma, daughter of the royal drummer, Adegoke embarks on a quest to recover the three fragments of the crown before the next full moon. Their journey takes them through the enchanted Iron Forest, where truth must be spoken to outwit the trickster spirit Àjẹ́, and into the heart of political betrayal when they confront Prince Adetola—the Oba’s brother—who has hidden the final fragment within a royal scepter while promoting destructive “progress” that poisons the land. Through sacrifice, sincerity, and song, Adegoke and Ifeoma summon a sacred white crocodile, fulfil Adetola’s impossible challenge, and awaken his buried conscience. In an act of communal healing, the prince joins them in reuniting the crown—not through force or ritual alone, but through renewed commitment to memory, reciprocity, and reverence for the land. When Oshun herself rises from the river, she crowns not a king, but Adegoke—the “crownless” boy who dared to care. The restored covenant flows not from gold or power, but from daily acts of respect, storytelling, and stewardship. In the end, Adegoke becomes known as “the Listener,” teaching future generations that true legacy lives not in objects, but in choices made with clean hands and open hearts.

The Depths of Jealous Tides

The Depths of Jealous Tides

Beneath the shimmering waters of the Lee Ocean Kingdom, beauty and peace hide a painful past—one shaped by jealousy, betrayal, and a friendship that was broken forever. Years ago, Samantha’s envy led her to betray her closest friend, Vienna, in a desperate attempt to claim the love of a noble merman named Ben. Her plan failed, and she was banished, leaving behind a kingdom scarred by her actions. Though time passed and peace returned, the truth of that betrayal was never fully forgotten. Fifteen years later, Vienna and Ben now rule the kingdom and raise their twin daughters, Vivi and Vino—two girls who share the same face but possess very different hearts. Curious and adventurous, they are drawn to a forbidden valley their mother has warned them never to enter. Beyond that boundary, they encounter Samuel and Sam, mysterious twin brothers from a world their parents have kept hidden. Despite warnings on both sides, a secret bond begins to grow between them—one built on curiosity, connection, and the first stirrings of love. As the four meet in secret, emotions deepen and questions begin to rise. Why are their families divided? What truth lies behind the forbidden valley? And what does the past have to do with their unexpected connection? Unaware that their lives are tied to an old betrayal, Vivi and Vino move closer to a truth that could change everything they know about their family, their kingdom, and themselves. The Depths of Jealous Tides is a captivating underwater fantasy of love, secrets, and destiny—where the past refuses to stay buried, and every choice sends ripples through the future.

He disguises himself as a nine-year-old, waits in an empty field, and lets himself get scooped off the ground by a giant bird. He now finds himself trapped in a palace of impossible beauty run by said mysterious organization and surrounded by frightened children. Stuck in the form of a not-too powerless child, our great hero must figure out the vile mysterious plans of the abductors and rescue the kids all without any backup while being surrounded by enemies known and unknown.

The Runaway Heiress's Unexpected love

Gwen Dee

"Then don't let them take me." The words were barely a whisper, swallowed by the chaos raging beyond the crumbling wall where they hid. Tiwa Adeyemi didn't survive Lagos's most dangerous market raid just to fall for the man who pulled her out of it — especially not one she insulted the moment they met. She's a billionaire heiress who walked away from her empire — hunted by a 50-million-naira bounty, and desperate to stay free. Tunde is a Mainland bus driver with a guarded past and no business making her problem his own. They shouldn't trust each other. They certainly shouldn't want each other. But forced proximity changes everything. Stolen glances in the dark. Hands that linger too long. A fierce, inconvenient hunger neither of them can outrun. Tiwa, who fled a gold-plated cage, never expected safety to feel like this — rough-edged and real and dangerously close to love. And Tunde, who buried his past beneath years of grinding survival, never planned on someone like her melting his heart. Someone wants her found. Someone wants her silenced. And the truth that binds them may cost everything… Or give them the one thing they never saw coming.
