(Ray and Teni come out of the lift and she walks towards the hotel entrance while Ray heads to the astonished receptionist.)

Ray – (Drops room keys) We’re leaving

Receptionist (horror-stricken) You don’t like?

Ray – We don’t like at all at all.

Teni – Baby, let’s go. The cab is probably outside

Ray - Hei hei. Coming baby.

Teni – Have you got everything?

Ray – I think so. These are all the bags I was holding and you’ve got the handbag. We’re good.

Teni – (looks stressed and panicky) Can’t believe we’re actually going back to that apartment. And on top of all this it’s drizzling.

Ray- Well like you said, we need WiFi. Is that the cab over there?

Teni – It must be.

(Ray and Teni walk up to the cab and the driver comes out to open the boot. Ray doesn’t wait for help and puts the baggage in the cab himself. They all get into the cab).

Driver – Where you going?

Ray and Teni – Narva Mantee 32!

Driver – Where is that?

Teni – Seriously?

Ray – It’s just down this road (points to the road). So how much?

Driver - 8 Euros

Ray and Teni – ‘What?!!’

Teni – Baby we can walk it. I’m not paying this man 8 Euros.

Ray – But it’s raining baby. Let’s just go. I’ll take care of it.

Teni – Uuuuuuurgh!

Ray - We should be approaching it soon. Could you slow down? Slow down! You just passed it! What the…

Teni - Just stop so we can get out!

(Ray pays the fare and the driver parks the car abruptly by the side of the road. Ray and Teni come down while the driver opens the boot and just stands there staring at them. Ray gets the cold message and takes out their luggage. Teni grabs one small stroller and briskly walks off while Ray tries to catch up).

Ray - Baby, wait for me na

Teni - It’s drizzling and my hair is getting wet!

Ray - Sorry baby, we’re almost there.

(They arrive at the apartment and Ray tries to open the front door. Ten belts out a heavy sigh as Ray fiddles with the lock a few times)

Ray - Could this day get any worse?

Teni - Isn’t that the same key Eugene gave us?

Ray - Yeah but…

Teni - It worked before na. Abi, has he changed the locks?

Ray - Eh? When half our stuff is still in there? He will see my other side.

Teni - Bae, right now I want to be on the other side of that door! Why don’t you call Eugene?

Ray - Let me just try again...ALLELUIA! Sorry baby it was me..

(Teni gently shoves past Ray and enters the apartment. Ray follows and they both collapse on the sofa bed).

Teni - This is not how I wanted this trip to be.

Ray - It’s not your fault, baby. These things happen. Let’s try and sleep. We’ll look for another apartment in the morning.

(Teni pecks Ray on the lips and adjusts to sleep. She buries her head in Ray’s chest while he works his hand from the top of her back and gradually down to the base of her spine. As his hands enters buttock territory Teni gives his hand a good smack.

Ray - Ah-ah now!

(End of scene)
