💎 The Billionaire’s Hidden Flame

Part 3: The Choice

Mira didn’t sleep that night.

Every time she closed her eyes, Adrian’s face appeared — cold, unreadable, and determined. The same man who once whispered promises under a star-filled sky now threatened to take away the only thing she lived for.

She sat by the window of her tiny apartment, watching the city lights fade into dawn. Eli, her son, slept peacefully on the couch, clutching his favorite toy car. His little chest rose and fell, innocent and unaware of the storm waiting outside.

Tears slipped down Mira’s cheeks.

She had spent five years building a quiet life — no scandals, no rich enemies, no powerful men controlling her choices. But all it took was one wrong elevator ride to bring it all crashing down.

Her phone buzzed.

A message flashed on the screen:

From: Adrian Titan

9:00 A.M. My office. Don’t be late.

Mira’s hands shook. He actually meant it.

At exactly 8:45, she stood outside the Titan Group building again, holding Eli’s hand tightly.

He looked up at her, eyes bright with curiosity. “Mama, are we going somewhere fun?”

Her heart broke a little. “Yes, baby,” she whispered. “Somewhere... important.”

The receptionist greeted her with a nervous smile, clearly warned that she was expected. Within minutes, she was standing before Adrian’s massive glass office again.

He looked up from his desk, eyes flicking from her to the little boy beside her. For the first time, the ruthless billionaire said nothing. His expression cracked — just a little — when Eli smiled shyly and said,

“Hi, sir.”

Adrian’s throat tightened.

He didn’t need a test. The boy was his mirror.

But pride and pain wouldn’t let him show it.

Instead, he turned to Mira. “Sit down. Both of you.”

Mira obeyed, her heart pounding.

He leaned back in his chair. “You ran from me, Mira. Now, tell me why. What was so terrible that you had to keep my son a secret?”

Her eyes filled with unshed tears. “Because, Adrian… the night I found out I was pregnant—your father came to me.”

Adrian’s face went pale. “My father?”

“Yes.” She met his gaze with trembling courage. “He offered me money to disappear… or he’d destroy you.”

🔥 End of Part 3

Would you like me to continue with Part 4 (where Adrian confronts his father and the truth deepens)?
