The next morning, everyone came out to bid me farewell. As I stepped out of the orphanage gate, the bright sunlight seemed to symbolize a new beginning. I took a deep breath, feeling the warm breeze fill my lungs, and gazed out at the unfamiliar world. The mother superior handed me a small bag containing a few belongings and a folder with important documents, and lastly a piece of paper with an address written on it.
"My dear, you're ready to start your life," Mother Superior said, her voice filled with warmth. "Remember, you're strong and capable. Make your mark in the world, and be safe out there."
I nodded, my eyes shining with determination, and with a final glance at the orphanage, I turned and walked away. I had no clear plan, but I knew I had to find my place in the world. The city seemed daunting, yet exhilarating.
