Chapter One: The Morning of the Great Wedding

It was supposed to be the happiest day of Daniel and Amara's lives.

The morning sun rose over the beautiful city of Benin, casting golden rays across a magnificent outdoor wedding venue. White canopies stood proudly beneath the clear sky, elegant flowers adorned the decorations, and rows of beautifully arranged chairs awaited the hundreds of guests expected to attend.

It was a special day—a day Daniel and Amara had dreamed about for a long time. After everything they had been through together, the moment had finally arrived for them to exchange their vows and begin a new chapter of their lives as husband and wife.

Their love story had captured the hearts of their families and friends. To everyone who knew them, they were a perfect couple, two people whose love seemed strong enough to overcome any obstacle. Relatives had traveled from different towns to witness their union, while friends gathered excitedly, eager to celebrate what they believed would be the beginning of a beautiful marriage.

The entire venue buzzed with anticipation. Some guests admired the decorations, others chatted happily beneath the canopies, and a few could already be heard discussing how grand the wedding would be.

Behind the beautiful celebration, however, stood a long cooking hall alive with activity.

Dozens of cooks moved hurriedly from one station to another, their faces shining with sweat as they worked tirelessly to prepare an enormous feast. Large pots of rice simmered over blazing fires, rich stews bubbled gently, and freshly roasted meat filled the air with an irresistible aroma. Different soups and other traditional delicacies were also being prepared to ensure that no guest would leave the celebration hungry.

The cooking hall was a world of its own. Metal spoons clanged against enormous pots, orders were shouted from one end to the other, and helpers rushed around carrying ingredients, washing utensils, and arranging plates. Everyone understood the importance of their task. With hundreds of guests expected, even a small delay could create confusion.

The two families had promised their guests a wedding feast they would remember for years. Nothing was supposed to go wrong.

Outside, the decorations sparkled beneath the morning sun, and the sound of music drifted through the venue. Everything appeared perfect. The wedding was unfolding exactly as everyone had hoped.

Yet, far away from the excitement, someone was watching the preparations with a cold expression.

His name was known to Daniel, but nobody at the wedding knew the hatred he carried in his heart. For a long time, he had waited for an opportunity to hurt Daniel, and now he believed that opportunity had finally arrived.

He had no intention of allowing Daniel to enjoy the happiness he had found with Amara.

As he watched the wedding preparations from a distance, a dark smile slowly appeared on his face.

"Today," he whispered to himself, "Daniel will remember me for the rest of his life."

He turned away and disappeared into the crowd, carrying a secret that could turn a beautiful wedding celebration into a nightmare.

Meanwhile, Daniel and Amara continued preparing for their big moment, completely unaware that someone wanted to destroy their happiness.

The guests were arriving. The food was almost ready. And the wedding ceremony was about to begin.

For Daniel and Amara, this was supposed to be the happiest day of their lives.

But sometimes, the moments that appear most beautiful are the ones that hide the greatest dangers.

Would everyone leave the wedding safely, or was this beautiful celebration about to become a day nobody would ever forget?

Chapter Two: The Busy Kitchen

Inside the long cooking hall, the atmosphere was hot, noisy, and demanding. Huge pots bubbled over powerful burners, metal spoons clanged against cooking vessels, and the rich aroma of freshly prepared food filled the air.

Some cooks hurriedly chopped vegetables, while others carefully seasoned the meat. Nearby, a team of experienced chefs watched over the rice and stew, ensuring that everything was prepared to perfection. Everyone had a responsibility, and with hundreds of guests expected at the wedding, there was little room for mistakes.

At the center of all this activity was Chief Cook Joseph, a mature man in his late forties who had catered for weddings and other major celebrations for more than twenty years. He was respected for his discipline, honesty, and remarkable attention to detail.

Joseph moved from one cooking station to another, inspecting the food, checking the ingredients, and reminding the workers to maintain cleanliness. He insisted that every dish meet his standards before it could be served to the guests.

To him, feeding hundreds of people was not simply a job; it was a responsibility that required patience, teamwork, and trust.

Yet, even with his years of experience, Joseph knew that a wedding of this size could bring unexpected challenges. As he stood beside a large pot of stew, carefully observing one of the assistants, he noticed something unusual happening at the far end of the kitchen.

For a moment, he stopped what he was doing and stared in that direction.

Something was not right.

And before the day was over, that small discovery would become the beginning of a secret nobody in the kitchen was prepared to face.
